I use Digitizer Pro. The best person to ask would be Dianne(dianned). She uses her customizer. It is not a digitizing programme and you really have to work at it to get it looking acceptable. You won't be able to eliminate jump stitches or use different fill stitches. It only has weave fill, but it might help you out until you can get a digitizer.

ok lets try to help
you have the customiser so you will have easy edit and easy import. first you will need to open your design in paintshop or similar and then save it as JPG/ JPEG and name it yes i know it sshould open bitmap but.. open up customiser and then easy import. you can now import the design and work on it. It takes a bit of doing but you can digitise it in there. stick to it and work with it.
I have the customiser but now rarely use it as i found sewwhat art and sewwhat pro will let me do many more things and its a lot cheaper to buy them both than just the one customiser Ok too late now for yo but try to work with the easy import and you should get some results,,you can also download a trial of both the sewhats for free and save the work in files,
hope this will help Eggyannie in the Uk

Bringing this back up to the top, hoping Deb will see this, or Ricky. Kipper, I have Janome Digitizer Pro, not customizer. I think you can't digitize in customizer, but maybe one of the gals who has it can tell you. You might try going to the Janome website, and checking out the tutorials there on what you can do with your program. Or, ask your dealer. That's what a good dealer is for, to explain these kinds of things to you when you purchase them. But if you want to learn to digitize, it's going to take some work, you can't just point and click, really. It's fun, and rewarding, but not something you can just do in a couple of days. Best of luck to you! Marji

kipper, welcome to *Cute*. Meganne has given you a very good answer. If you wanted you could try 'importing' your bmp, as an image file, into Customizer, and follow any hints/help it gives you, or use the help feature. You should have received a book with the program. All of that might give you enough help! But hang-in here sweetie, someone who is more familiar with the program might read this and be able to help you. Hugs and flowers.

Sorry but this is way too complicated to help you with here. You need a digitising program and you need to learn how to digitise to create a .sew embroidery design from a bitmap picture file.

Learning to digitise is a very lengthy and time consuming process, it is not something that you can learn from a group like this, but from using your program and buying tutorials.

Now, having said that, you can, with some programs, create Auto-digitised designs, they are usually very dense and may need a lot of work to fix them, because they don't always stitch very well.
I am not familiar with Buzz Tool or Customiser 2000 so cannot tell you if they can auto-digitise.

Perhaps some other Cutie who has the same programs may be able to assist you off-site.

Come on Cuties we have a new Cutie in need.

Good luck with it and welcome to the Cute family.
hugs n blessings, Meganne
