WELCOME LINDA, This is a great and helpful site. Glad you are onboard. Lynn from Ontario, Canada.
Let me add a belated welcome. Yes, we like it very much here. This is the only site that I converse with and maintain a membership. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Hello Linda! You are about 110 miles south of me. I'm right up almost on the GA/Tn border. Glad that you feel home here. We are a friendly group and mostly have no conflicts. There is really no reason for them, is there?!? Please feel free to ask anything you want, or give us advice. Always remember to take whatever you read as being meant in the VERY best way, because for most part, it is meant to be helpful. We just love having you here and can't wait to get to know you better.;)
I want to say THANK YOU to all for the wonderful welcome to the group! You brought tears to my eyes. It is nice to feel so welcome. I have not ley my serious problem with my legs be a handicap for the most part. It is just an inconvience most of the time. I refuse to let it get me down (most of the time). I try to do everthing I have always done but I am slower and in pain. I can deal with that! The Lord got me through the surgery and I still have both my legs and I thank Him everyday for a beautiful day! I try to roll with the punches. I guess the money situation is what bothers me the most. It is hard trying to live off disability and it took all my savings to get through the surgery/meds/medical bills/ and now all the over the counter meds and bandages every week. I moved from a small town to the surburbs of Atlanta and everything is twice the cost up here as it was at home. It has been hard. I can not work because I am bed bound parts of every hour. I am still trying to adapt to all of the changes. I miss all my friends and family since I moved. I had been in the same 2-story house for 26 years and now I am in a double-wide. Most of my stuff is stored or has been sold or given away. I am too old to adjust so easy! My lot rent is $ 500.00 a month. My check is half gone before I get it. At least the double-wide is paid for and so is my Durango. If I back home my lot rent would run 50 to 60 dollars a month. BIG difference! It is the devil...getting old! Linda
A late Welcome to Cute Linda. We are a very loving, caring group of Cuties, gathered from all walks of life, and all corners of the globe and brought together by our mutual love of embroidery and sharing, our God given gifts, love and friendship.
I think most Cuties would agree with me when I say 'Our' only intolerance is of small minded, or nasty people, they do not last long here as life is too short to tolerate pettiness. There are plenty of other groups out there who encourage 'that' sort of thing.
I do hope your stay with us will be, long, happy and rewarding in every way. We are always here for you and there is always someone you can talk to.
Now put your feet up, sit your keyboard in your lap and join in whenever you can. (my eldest son always types on his keyboard that way, totally relaxed.)
hugs n roses, Meganne
Remember, Your feet can learn the steps, but only your spirit can dance!
Hello Linda, I am very glad you have found Cute I found it a year ago but for some reason I never joined in the forum. Now that I have I am so well informed about more than I ever knew. Hi there Linda,
Just logged in from Newcastle Australia. It is 7.00pm here on Sunday evening and it has been a perfect day. I have been sewing Tubby Mudd's Raggedy Alphabet and am up to the letter H. They are absolutely the best designs I have ever sewn. Plug there for you "Tubby". Have a look at his designs in the "Design by Cuties" site. Anyway just read your note and wanted to welcome you too. Look after those legs of yours - we all need them to carry us around.
Ditto to everyone's previous comments. Everyone on this site is an absolutely beautiful, caring, inspiring, gifted human being. We all love it. Love and blessings Chris.

Well thank u for the compliments Linda n Ga. (tell where n Ga.) we have several here that live n Ga. although I now reside n Ala. I grew up n Macon, Ga. so that is home for me. we r glad to have u with us.
Small world! I also grew up in Macon! I went to A.L. Miller High School until we moved to Swainsboro in 1963. I loved Macon! I was a gym assistant my last year there. I was a Tapley before I got married moons ago! I am 62 so there may be some age difference. I live in Fayetteville now but have only been here for a little over a year. My son forced me to move to be close to him because of my health. I w-a-n-n-a go home but can't now. He got married right after I moved up here so I do not see alot of him. He did marry a wonderful person. I am happy for him but he is trying to nest now. hehe. He is a good son but does have some faults--drives me nuts! Linda
Welcome Linda. Yes this is a wonderful, caring and helpful bunch of people. Just be careful that you don't get carried away reading posts and forget to put your legs up. I have been amazed how the time flies by while on this site. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
