We got enough in Marylandthat we had to plow and shovel. Hard to tell how much because of drifting. I think 4-5 inches. South and east of us got more.

I'm in Erie, PA, and we're getting the snow and wind and bitter cold. Again. Sigh. I actually saw a bit of my grass the other day for a couple of hours. Your pictures are just beautiful. I know we have snowplows, etc and are supposed to be used to this stuff, but after 5 months it's really getting old here! We got snow in October and it hasn't quit since! I thought it was global *warming* we were supposed to be worried about, I should have palm trees growing here by now, hee hee hee. Stay warm (or cool, as the case may be). Luv y'all, Marji

No snow here , we live 40 miles from Buffalo NY. in Ontario. Our tulips are up about an inch,I don't think they are going to bloom soon as it is only 12 degree this morning. Hope everyone in the North East is safe and off the roads.

The pictures look inviting, it has been a dry year here in Adelaide Sth Australia, it has just started to Spit a bit this afternoon but that will not fill out water tanks. We are waiting for tomorrow when the weather man has predicted heavy rain...."I HOPE". enjoy the snow!!

Beautiful! My grand daughters were running in the snow before church this AM in Huntsville, AL with their Sunday capes flapping! But it melted quickly. Knoxville didn't get anything except a snow shower during Sun. School, and yes, I was looking out the window just like a kid! Glad it was snow instead of the ICE Atlanta area usually gets!

I guess the umbrella that has been keeping all of the rain off of us for the past 3 years is keeping off the snow, too. I'm 90 miles north of Atlanta where most of you are near and didn't get anything except some fierce winds. I hope you are all ok and don't loose power.;)

I'm in central Arkansas have experienced beautiful weather in the 60's and 70's for the last two weeks. Friday was in the mid 60's, a front came thru and dropped our temps 25 degrees within an hour, thunder storms followed. Then on Saturday we got an inch of snow while NE Ar. got up to 12 inches. Has this been a crazy winter or what????
Have daffodils, pear trees, burning bush and forsythia in bloom.....crazy...just crazy.

Just saw the second lot of pictures - I hope you didn't lose your electricity. I know how that is we used to get blackouts here a lot. The best thing is to keep warm and keep your spirits up. Thankfully Spring is not too far away for you all in the Northern Hemisphere. Love and blessings Chris

It started sleeting in the Atlanta area about 10:00 AM and quickly turned into snow. It snowed most of the day and turned both of my porches into pretty thick snow with an undercoat of ice. My 2 Pekes had a ball but I do not like it at all! I got soaked and had to change clothes and shoes evertime I took them out. I was scared I was going to fall on the ice covered porch. It is 8:25PM and most of it has melted by now. My car is covered but the roads and the yards are just about melted. They say it going to be cold and a possibility of more the last I heard. My girls wil go out 1 more time and that will be it for the night. I had fixed a pressure cooker full of homemade chicken noodle soup so I was fixed for the day and a few to go. My son took some home with him but the girls and I have plenty. They finished off their doggy treats today so I had to share with them. I'm not going to go to the store tonight! It is really messy out there because it had been raining for so much before the snow! It would have to be an emergency to get me in the car tonight! In fact, I am fixing to carry them out and call it a night ..with the TV in just a few! It has been a lazy day! Have a good one! Good night! Linda

I awoke to dusting on the ground then drove from Phily to Springfield VA this morning and into early afternoon. I was already told by my husband (we are both school teachers) that we have no school tomorrow. YEAH!!!! However Dr. Seuss's birthday is tomorrow and we were going to celebrate, oh well another day. Looking forward to much snow, I am also from Maine.

I'm in the central Susquehanna valley in PA. Maybe we are supposed to get about an inch or so. The storm track seems to be further to the east from us. I wish the forsythia was blooming here. That will be about 4 or 5 weeks yet for us.

reporting in from Michigan....

Yep, we had snow this morning, but nothing much to speak of...we have actually had our share already this year! I think it will be late July before our snowbanks will be gone! I remember one year in March on our way, driving to Florida for spring break, when we ran into snow across Georgia...just like your pictures! I remember stoping at a rest area and everyone talking about the semi that we had all passed along the expressway, who had been hauling live chickens. We all agreed, by the time the truck made the delivery, they would have been frozen dinners instead! Sorry..but I'm glad we didn't get what you did today! Kim

Hi Katydid,
I'm in West Virginia and it came down from here to you. We just had enough to coat the top of the car, not even on the bushes. They said it was headed toward the east and south. We have cold temps the rest of the week, but no snow.

What pretty pictures, even thou it's of the snow also. Your Forsythia bush is a lovely; the red berries against the freshly fallen snow looks soooooo pretty. We had a good dumping of snow early last week, boy did it come down..of course we're in Canada lol, but we do get tired of the white stuff even here. In general thou, I think the weather world wide has been rather weird.

Migs, I just had to steal a copy of your cat picture! That was my husband with the cats, except he was bald as a billiard ball. They loved to pat his mustache and goateee like that! Made me smile, I miss him. Marji

Wow, Snow - what's that? I live on the east coast of Australia and we don't get it this far up. It looks gorgeous. I used to go skiing when I was younger and love the snow. Never mind when you see those flowers trying to peep through you know Spring is on its way. God bless. Love Chris
