Customizer is not a very good digitizing program. I did a few things in it way back (a year ago LOL) when I first got my machine. It was so frustrating to use that I put Digitizer in lay-away at my dealer. However, you can get some tutorials at Janome.com. Customizer is sufficient for small/simple designs, but nothing complicated. It does not put underlay stitches in the design, so you will have do do it manually. GOOD LUCK!! Meanwhile, shop around for something affordable. There are trial versions available on many websites. Digitizer is very expensive, but it's the most compatable with Janome.
Sorry but I don't think it is possible to get a step by step tutorial from here. You can instead read the manual for you software and seach around for sites where you can get some classses.
A customizer is not a digitizer. I have Janome Digitizer Pro.
You can sort of digitize with customizer, but the results are not as good.
Talk to Dianne (dianned) about using the customizer to digitize. She uses hers because she has not got a diditizer. She will be able to tell you the pitfalls and how to get around them in a reasonably acceptable way.
Dianne lives in England, so she will be asleep at the moment. Send her a PM.
This is not something someone can tell you step by step here on "Cute". If you have digitizing software it should at least have instructions and written tutorials that came with it. I am using the 4D software that came with my machine, and lots of help from my manuals. Maybe someone with the same program can get you going in the right direction.
