I have a 1500D. I had alot of problems at first too. My repair man was able to get things lined out. I have slowed my machine down when doing embroidery and that seemed to help.
What exactly is it doing?
I understand your frustration with your machine. I have a Singer Quantum XL-5000 that goes back to the shop this week too. I don't know if my problem is tension or timing but I plan to tell the salesman/repairman that this machine has too many problems and is a lemon. Could you be more specific about your problem? Does the thread break, or does the thread form loops? And if so, upper thread or bobbin? Are you sure the machine is properly threaded even if it automatically threads istself? Is your needle sharp and the proper needle for the type of sewing? Good luck.
I don't have the same machine but just make sure that you really set the thread into the tension mechanism. I just figured out the other day that tension problems I have been having for 2 years was because I didn't do this correctly. made me feel like a real dum dum. PJH
