Wow, that really does show off that rose pattern service - I have an identical tea service but, un fortunately, not so lucky to own anything like the lovely lace.
It is stunning. My mum used to do things like that by crochet.Well done.
this is just so beautiful. lots of time spent on it. I love it.
Stunningly beautiful....this is the type of doily my mom used to make. Be selfish...she'll never know the difference if you don't tell her, besides we need to do some of our projects for ourselves...
besides this is to lovely to part with....great work!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to look at this design, and for your lovely comments. I had about decided to take it to my sister-in-law when we visit this weekend, but I think this one has my name on it. Am I being selfish? I gave her one of my favoirites the last time she was here, and have not redone it for myself. Maybe later - I have too many pretty things I want to make.
Not selfish at all - you can stitch her up something else later on. I know you want to cheer her up - but this one does have your name on it.
It looks stunning! Just beautiful, thanks for telling about the thread I will have to give it a try sometime.
this is amazing.. great job.. must have taken a while to do... keep up this wonderful work..

This is beautiful. I have not tried lace or FSL as yet but after seeing this it may go to the top of my to do list.

Beth, dear one, this is so beautiful and it does remind me of my dear mother-in-laws work. She loved to crochet these sort of doilies. This is big and so very wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Wow, this is gorgeous!!! Love it! I would take weeks to have it done by crochet! I think it's amazing what an embroidery machine can do. Well done!
Beth, this is stunningly beautiful! And HUGE. It must have taken you ages but it's worth it.
Beth, this is stunning and I am so happy to see that you have it finished now. Great presentation and such a gorgeous piece of lace. And as Ken said - it sure is large. Hehehe!
