Is anybody using 4D software succesfully on Vista? I am thinking of getting a laptop and I know there were problems with Vista initially. It's either that or I have to go with MAC.

I do know that older software doesn't have the drivers for vista ( some software companies are slowly upgrading and offering drivers for vista)so you would need to check with the software website and see if they have downloadable drivers for vista. You can purchase a new laptop and ask to have windows xp installed instead of vista, alot of people i know have done this purely because the software they have doesn't have drivers for vista eg like the older versions of embird and they didnt want to have to buy new software as well. So check the software website first then work out what you want to do good luck :)

I could not get mine loaded on a new laptop we just bought with Vista. I could be just me...ha ha. I only wanted it on the new laptop for backup, so I really didn't try too hard. My thoughts are to take it to my Viking dealer and let them do it!
