See you've gotten your answer....have fun with it.
Think you'll be amazed at what you can do with this product.
That's what I put pictures of my DGC(it was in projects) on my Christmas Sweatshirt.;)
Here is the picture. This is one way you can use what you print on fabric. The other ways are, quilt labels and family tree quilts with photos of family members. There are lots of uses for this.
yep i use it for so many things including placeing my tag on items use your normal printer with iether B/W or color check your printer for options to flip or mirror image. this wil print any words or picture the correct way for you to be able to place the finished print face down onto your fabric. use a teflon bakeing sheet over the printed paper and press dwon DO NOT KEEP MOVEING THE IRON SIDE TO SIDE. if you do, you will smudge the print as the fabric will slide,, just lift and press. allow it to cool and check if it has stuck down ok if not then heat and press again. this will then fuse a very thin plastic onto your chosen item. you can get special paper to use on dark clothes too.
if you want to put your contact info on an item then print out small business cards and iron onto the project in the same way. use Avery templates for this work. fast and easy and cheaper than ordering from others as you can choose the color you want it printed in.
hope this will help. eggyannie in the uk
I printed on silk especially for that purpose and it came out very nice. I first tried my own silk and ironed it onto freezer paper, but the silk had rough nubbies in it and it did not go through the printer well. The commercial silk on paper worked very nicely though except I had a little trouble peeling off the paper. I'm trying to find the brand, but can't put my hands on it immediately. JoAnn's has cotton fabric to print in their quilt department.
I took some of my father's drawings from old letters and made a little scene out of it and I think it came out very nicely. If you would like to check it out you can see it at my little mini home page.
Greeting I have made a whole quilt out of this type of cloth and it works great. Last fall my sons best friend at the age of 21 died from an unknown cause of bleeding to the brain. Our family made a quilt from words of encouragement to the family that friends and family had posted to a web sight. It was a great way for our family to deal with his loss.
If you are talking about printing on fabric, the reason the paper is behind the fabric is so it will go through the printer. The fabric it self has been soaked in Bubble Jet 2000. You pull the paper off when the print is dry, rinse the fabric to get rid of excess print, then iron it.I have done a picture like this, then embroidered it. I can't upload it for some reason. It is small enough. but it is also way back in projects
You can use colour or B/W, But you can't use a laser printer.
Hello Bikermomf, it seems to me that you talk about a kind of paper that you can use to iron pictures on t-shirts as well. If that is the case, I used it for a T-shirt for my husbands birthday with a pic of our GD. I used my regular printer to do this and it was a colourprint. You have to be aware thet the pic (specially with text) is in mirror before you print it.But I think that is in the manual of the paper as well. Hope this is the answer that you look for. If not someone else can help you maybey.
