and backing at the same time. My question is.. What kind of batting do you use. Batting or the warm and natural kind. what size needle would you recommend? Any other suggestions you have would help me greatly. I'm new to quilting.

I use the low loft batting for quilts. 90/14 to 100/16 size needle depends on the weight of the fabric I used for top & bottom but your machine manual should give u a needle size for heavy wt. sewing. *4U
