For those of you asking about this design - well it came from Dainty Stitches, and is DS0853, doily #18. There is only one design panel, that you stitch 8 times. I combined this into my large hoop and did all in one hooping. Please remember to slow your machine down when you do this, or you may have little areas not connected. I am adding the link so that you can look at the site.
Very! Very! nice work it reminds me of the doily's my mother used to make in the varigated. Just beautiful.
Do you have the pattern & can/will you put it on here so weall might try it to???Ihave done hundersby croceting & want to something new. Thanks
What a lovely Project. Good way to catch up on your reading too. I do Ironing or I sew on the other machine. You can always find something useful to do instead of watching the needle go up and down ?
This is also a beaut, but I like the angel more Love Marie
Definiately looks Vintage, I used to crochet.
I love it lots, it looks very dainty for sure...
Beautiful. It is hard to find nice variagated crochet cotton for regualar crochet. Most is solid colors.
Beth, dear I see that you haven't lost the touch for a beautiful doily. I like the color and it is nice to see you doing one for yourself. HaHa, Loretta
beautiful work, I have been trying to do something like your work but so far I have not had a lot of success.
Beautiful work, definitely worth the time. Has a very nice hand made look.
Just love this one. You did a great job with the varigated thread. Thanks for sharing

Well done

I used to crochet this type of dolly before I got the embroidery machine
Beth, my grandmother was the crochet person in my family and she would love this - I can't remember any in variegated thread, however I am sure she did them, too. Thank you for a lovely presentation and so much info. Great job.
Very pretty. I can remember my Mom making them, and I still have some.
