The ship is one of Cute's freebies, I designed and digitised the dark blue embroidered oval frame to fit it then stitched the whole embroidery into a hand-cut aperture in a piece of dark blue card with my sewing machine then matted and layered it with white and dark blue onto a pale blue card. I decided it didn't need any more decoration so it's all ready to go. It's his birthday on Tuesday so I'll have to get it in the post tomorrow - I hope he likes it! Love from Dianne x x x

Dianne, this is once again a beautiful card. I love the way you framed it and sewed it to the card. Great work!

No, I only have a small hoop so I chose a small ship design then drew and digitised the oval frame to fit - my hoop can take up to 90 cms x 120 cms and this is exactly that! I cut the aperture bigger, then added the embroidered border so all together it has made an A5 card out of a small embroidery design!
