last year she brought 7 babies to scratch around under our bird feeders! Grand daughters were here when she brought the babies around, so hopefully they will be visiting this summer if/when she comes back to show off her brood! Just thought it was neat and had to share it with someone!

I do have pictures taken the first year she appeared, 2007 in the spring, so this is her third year. But she is a LOT bigger now. I think she must have been a young turkey that first year. I didn't get any last year with the babies as my hubby, grand daughters & I were so thrilled we just stood in the back door and watched them! Didn't even THINK to go get a camera! But I did learn something...baby turkeys & baby ducks are nothing alike! Little ducks follow momma but little turkeys just run helter skelter all over the place! She seems more skidish now that she's older & wiser I guess! But I'll try to get a picture of her before she leaves again.
