Rosi, this is beautiful work - where are you putting this one?
Thank you Shirlene. I think my kitchen table as it is Green , cupboards are white. BUT then who knows. Some one may get lucky.
I seen this last week, it is soooo stunning very well done Roslyn
you did a fantastic job as usuall Rosie! You really are a busy lady
Yes it is beautiful! Could you tell all of us how it is done?
After embroidery ( 8 of each design) I hand stitched them together. The centre round is approx 12" diameter. I got 27 " of fabric halved it and marked , then halved the other way then on the Diagonal 8 sections in all. Using my "Sewing revolution" round ruler I marked the 12" line ruled a circle by using 2 pens - one holding the centre in place and the other on the 12" line. The points of the lace .centre on the ruled lines. Lots of pins are used. Then I ruled a line 1" down from the points of lace. and placed the centre of the smaller scallop there. ( just lucky) Small zig-zag st. was used first, to hold in place and then I used a Heirloon st with a wing needle to sew in down BUT not the Leaf that comes over the material- that I used a smaller 1.5 x 0.5 zig zag st . After all lace is stitched down I then cut away the fabric behind using applique scissors. Happy stitching.
WOW!!! again Roslyn, this is just lovely and the contrast of the 2 pinks is excellent
Thank you Sheryl. Actually I thought I'd matched the pink thread to the fabric rather well -UNTIL you see them together. Whether it's the density of the lace against the Linen . Maybe I should have used a lighter shade.
