It's not as bad as I thought it would be of course I haven't gone anywhere in it yet. I live in a small town and when someone asks how you are they really don't want to hear if your haveing a lousy day or not so if and when I use the chair in town I'm sure it will raise some eyebrows. I'm supposed to be super woman. When we moved here I was 17 and I've been here for 37 years and no one really knows me. I was thatyankee from PA that came and stayed. I made everyone laugh and put them at ease. Listened to thier problems that's how I made my living but now it's just me and my little sewing machine I like it that way most of the time but.....Well enough rambling of an old lady hope all cuties have a blessed day.

Mema,
Enjoy your chair and the opportunitites that it gives you. Get that sewing machine going, and dress it up! Make a statement with it. Life is short, and you're still young!
Have fun!...Barb

I was born and raised about 40 miles west of Pittsburg. In Beaver Valley. Do you know it?

So glad you did not get stuck, and could use the chair. I imagine you had a good laugh afterwards. Imagine what you would have looked like covered in grease.!!!I know a little girl (not little anymore) same age as my son (29) who has spent her whole life in a wheelchair. My son used to sit in the chair with her, and they had the biggest fun times. They still talk about it, when they see each other. Hope you can now go out and make some more friends.
Huggs and * for you

So glad you didn't get stuck and have to get all greasy in order to get out. Hope you enjoy your new chair. My FIL uses one and does pretty much what he wants to without the chair his activities would be very limited and we'd have to be calling 911 for help picking him up as he falls a lot. Get out there and see the world and take that chair racing down Main St. never heard of anyone getting a ticket in motorized chair. Enjoy!

Oh Mema, I do hope you get plenty of use out of that chair and if it makes life easier, make the most of it!

But please don't think of yourself as old, 'cause i'm older than you and I refuse to accept that turning 60 is old. 60 is supposed to be the new 50, so I guess i'm 49 and intend to keep acting like a 30 year old as long as my body can keep up with my thoughts!!! LOL!!

Just jazz that chair up with some cushions and tassles and maybe a foxtail aerial and GO For IT!!!

Enjoy the ride! Hugs n love, Meganne

I should tell you, my Dad would have given anything to have a motorised wheelchair, he couldn't afford one and neither could any of us (kids) when he was alive. I suppose it's just as well though, as we would not have seen him for the dust! He would have been gone like a shot with more freedom than he could ever imagine. How I would have loved to have seen that. hnr, M

Good idea. I love pink and purple so maybe I can jazzy it up. It reclines and has leg braces for when I need to put my feet up and rest. I'm holding fluid so bad. My doctor upped my lasix so I don't know Like you said just keep on keepin on. I really appreciaate your answer. I was wondering where YOU were. When I finally find a friend just take care of yourself.God Bless you love ya Ronny

Glad you didn't get stuck in it permanently!! hee hee hee. I hope greater mobility, even though it is in a chair, makes life easier for you. Know how you feel about losing abilities, but you may find different abilities available now. Hang in there (or sit in there, as the case may be, hee hee hee). Love you, Marji

Thank you for the laugh...sorry it was at your expense. Been there, done that. Perhaps this will clue people in that you really aren't super woman. Realizing that people are limited in their understanding has been a big help to me. Just know that there are those who really do care about you and what you are having to endure. All My Best, Marjorie
