Do you know if we can use a bomb pressurized air for dusting machine embroidery (such as bombs that are used to clean the pc) ? Thanks

I clean my machine after every use, yes EVERY use!

I use the small brush, supplied, to carefully lift lint up and out of the bobbin area. I take the bobbin assembly out and clean the whole area with the brush, then I run my finger around the whole area, checking for burrs, before replacing everything.

It's a habit picked up from working in the rag trade as a teenager, if your machine wasn't cleaned before you went home each night, your pay would be docked. A dirty machine is more likely to break down. We never had machine break downs!!!! LOL!

I have an attachment (you can buy it at Joann's) that hooks to my vacuum. The hose is very small and I use it to suck the lint out of my serger and embroidery machine. Never use canned air. :-) xoxo

I recommend you vacum it out instead of blowing it in.

My Bernina Techy says no. He told me that it will just blow the lint and strings further into the machine and cause lots of problems. He told me to vaccuum out the areas that I could reach.

I don't think it is recomended, but I use one all the time. My machine is not under warranty so I can't kill the warranty. But if it can be used on something as sensitive as a computer (my brother uses it to blow the whole inside of the computer out, not just the fan, then it should not hurt the machine. You can really see the link fly when you do.

My Viking dealers sells an attachment for the vacuum cleaner that can be used to pull the link out.

I have never heard it called that - but if it is the air in the can - you can use it - some technicians recommend that you do not use them - others do - I would think it might work - for most stuff - but it can also blast the stuff further into your machine and may cause some trouble - ask your technician what they recommend.

it's a bomb with air pressurized, so stong enough to remove all dust. It is used to clean computer (fan) and it increases the life of the pc

I use one all the time and just had my machine serviced and the tech said I had kept the machine fairly clean and there was not to much lint build up in it.
