Being so busy this week with Noah's ark and some recycling projects for the same fair, baby clothes the week before and some stage clothes the one before that, I just heaved a sigh of relief yesterday and messed out my sewing room. Then I embroidered 10 towels and a couple of guest towels with the museum logo (I've been a board member for ages and have made those since 1998 on a regular basis- in between other projects). No idea about Easter yet or Mother's day. Well I no longer have a mother or MiL, so I'll skip that I think.

At the moment about 60+ small crosses hubby asked me to make to give out as part of the Good Friday service he is coordinating at the Theological College he is attending. I'm also working on baby things for my BiL's girlfriend who is due in May, along with other bits and bobs along the way. I have some more towels to finish for mum to match ones I did for her a while ago too.

jasanne, sounds like you will be very busy - please take pictures and post them - we would love to see them - as you go or when you are finshed with them. Good luck - that is a large project and I do hope that the BiL's girlfriend appreciates the work, too. I know that your mum will enjoy the matching towels. *4U

For Mother's Day, I hope to do something special for the Gkids. All of them are in school ( not a large school) and I hope to find out how many kids are in each gchilds class and do Mother's day bookmarks and some kind of hanging ornament for each child to take home to their mommies. I will make extra, cause some kids have step-moms or Grandmothers that are raising them. Have to cover all the bases, you know. But I hope to get these done. Should have time. In our area, some of the kids are so poor, that they don't have a chance to buy for mommy, I just hope it will help. Thought I would do these and get the ribbons and let them thread them through the hoops so that they can say that they did part of it also. Maybe get some beeds to put on the ribbons. I don't know, I'll come up with something.

I am starting on mother's day gifts for 5 daughters and 2 daughter-in-laws..I purchased (no time to make them)reusable shopping bags and am going to fill them with alot of goodies such as my favorite ith tissue holders, potholders, bottle aprons towels for kitchen and bathroom along with a gift card inserted in an ith gift card holder..I am embroidering something on each shopping bag unique to each girl's personality... Nice question...gets the inspiration flowing looking at other's post! *:)

I think I am going to get a shirt and embroider a fancy cat on it for my mother for Mothers day. Then again I might do some towels for her. I DON'T KNOW. I am just trying to come up with some ideas.
I don't feel like making cards again.
I need some ideas!

Cracker - what sort of cat is your Mother's favorite - there are so many wonderful cat designs out there. I like the idea of a shirt - Hehehe! I did a cat sweater, shirt and skort with my GD last year and they are in the projects - I loved they way that they looked with the cats at the bottom of sweater and the paw prints running here and there - with some crystals and butterflies, too. Hehehe! Thank you - *4U

I am moving to South Carolina. As far as projects fro mother's day, I took advantage of the special that Julia's Neddle Designs and got me a couple of her grannies designs sets. I have in mind a couple of towels and some shirts using those. For my mom, she loves swans and she always likes to have her bathroom really nice cordinated so I was thinking of a full bathroom set ( shower curtain, towels, soap, tp cover and maybe the 3D FSL swan)
