Hi! Well, I am still pretty new to Embroidery although i have been here for quite some time. Embroidery is like a hobby to me and i rarely touch my machine as I need to work.

I like to make one ring pillow (wedding) for this internet friend I have made since 10yrs ago. We know each other when we are ab 15-18yrs old since he is younger than me. (So u roughly know my age LOL)

He is getting married this yr and I like to get some idea because I am really new to sewing and embroidery.

Just recently I amend the length of my jeans for the very first time! hahaa and it takes me days to do it. So i really appreciate if u guys can share some pics so at least I have some idea how to do a ring pillow for him. Thanks!

Eve, I think it is wonderful that you want to make a ring bearer pillow for your friend - 1st decide exactly what you want - then find the perfect piece of material - but do a test on another fabric - just in case - enjoy working on it and make it with love. Here are a few pictures that I found on the Internet - just to give you some inspiration - as you see - they can be simple to fancy - have fun and enjoy the love that you will bring to your friend. *4U Shirlene

Thanks Shirlene! The pillows are beautiful. The edge finishing will be tough for me (with those lace/plaits?). But at least it give me an idea on how i should do a Ring Pillow that looks as if its bought outside. hehehhe Thanks

I am making a ring pillow for my nephews wedding (august)...they are using a Fleur De Li as the theme decoration on invites / cake / etc...So I am stitching their first names and then 2 fleur de li with a ribbon in the center to tie the rings to....(just like Meg did on hers)...Suggestion::: don't make pillow very large...6 / 8 inches is the largest size I've seen!!!

I dont know abt Fleur De Li but i will google for it later on. Size never really comes to my mind but i think i should keep this in mind in case its too small or too big

It's not all that hard. You make a pillow, some 8 x 8 inches, do some embroidery of your choice and add a ribbon to tie the rings. For my daughter I did one with the initials in the top, two doves facing each other about half way and the date on the bottom.
When I embroidered the doves I put two lengths of ribbons under the beaks. So quite simple and quite nice. Let your imagination run riot and you'll have the perfect gift. Good luck!
