I do pant legs and pockets all the time hehehe. But I work in an embroidery shop and use 12 needle commercial machines. It's a breeze with those machines. Guess that's cheating huh? If I want to do them at home I have to take out seams just like everyone else.
You can embroider the design onto another fabric (perhaps felt?) and then use an iron on backing and attach the design like a patch or hand stitch the patch to the pocket or pants leg. That is what I do for unhoopable items. Hope this helps *
I'm very fortunate that my Brother PR600II has an 'embroidery arm' that allows me to put my 4 x 4 frame in most trouser/jean legs - they can't be too tight though. If I want to do anything bigger then I need to undo one of the seams too.
Cheers, Claire
Can i come to your house? hehehe I'll have to remember that if the Easter bunny wants to get me a new machine LOL Thanks
Anytime you want to come to Australia you are welcome to come to my house.
Cheer, Claire
Hi, I understand that you undo just one side of the pocket. For the seam you would have to undo the one to get your hoop inside.
Happy Easter & embroidering Jan
Shirlene is right, you either need a Magna-Hoop or alas you have to rip your seams and restitch later. Happy Easter to you too.
Thank you doll. I appreciate it. I guess I was looking for the lazy womans way out. heheh
Unless you have one of those new fangled things they use for that - it is ripping a seam or removing the pocket part way and then stitching it up - once you have embroidered on it - Hehehe! *4U
Nope no new fangles this around here. LOL Thanks for the help. Have a great Easter
well i take it always apart !!! i don't know how to do it otherwise... i really want to know !!
