how about 6o6 fusible spray, spray it on and let dry, then iron. best price i've seen is at long creek mills, link below..
Just a note, I remember this because I thought it was so strange. You might want to make sure the name is on the INSIDE of the bag, so some stranger can't gain the child's trust by calling him by name. People with kids & grands might have a better take on this, I guess I didn't know society had sunken to such depths. Maybe in OZ it hasn't, I hope for your sake. Luv, Marji
This is very true! It goes for jackets, lunch bags, the name has to go on the inside. I am glad that you brought this up!
Thanks for the advice, his school is very vigilant in this regard he must be dropped off and picked up in person from/to either the teacher or before/after school care. So the only time he has his bag he is being escorted by a trusted adult :). We can't be too careful with our little ones!!!
Cheers, Claire
Hi Claire (as Yoriko says) yes that's the stuff I use. I use it all the time for sewing on appliques for my church things. It is paper with a sticky backing. You cut out the shape you need, press the sticky side to your piece of fabric then peel off the paper and then you iron your piece of applique or label etc. etc. onto your project. It is fabulous stuff - I spell it Vliesoflix though. Any good fabric store should sell it. I usually get mine at Spotlight too - it is cheaper than most places.
Love and blessings Chris
(a newer stuff is called applifix)

Here it's sold as Vliesofix as well, I did my Noah's ark project with the stuff, works great.
Chris, Thanks for the detail on how it works, I'm off to spotlight to get some today!!!
Claire, I think 'Visoflix'(spell?) would do the job. I use two layers of that to make applique iron on. I buy mine at Spotlight. Love,Yoriko
Thanks Yoriko, I'm a spotlight addict so I'll have a look next time I'm there :) Hugs Claire
