offered in Cross-stitch and am not sure if I can download them properly. If not then do I have to buy some sort of software programme. I cannot afford the complete set which over here is over two and a half thousand dollars. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It is midnight here - so am off to bed and I'll check out the answers in the morning. Good night and god bless you all.

Chris, thanks for asking the question - that is what my Mother's machine is and I am always wanting to know more about it, too. *4U

You're welcome Shirlene - as I just said to Grandmapapers - if you don't know just ask and I knew someone would help me out. What a great group you all are here.

I too have the 4D Pro, but through your regular software you should be able to download anything that you wish. Just make the folder and put it into it - then have fun. I have never used the x-stitcher in the software, for the only thing I use with the cross stitch are desisgns all ready digitized.

Thanks for commenting "dlonnahawkins" it is gratifying to know there are other Husqvarna users out there!! That is what I would do too, I am not a digitiser and don't want to be knowing how much work goes into it!

You can download and use any cross stitch design you come across, they are in the usual formats. 4D has a cross stitch programme in the complete suit, but that is for creating the design, which is then saved in the usual .vip or vp3 or .hus, or any of the other formats 4D can save in. So DL to your heart's content and embroider them! Martine

Thanks Martine, this is what I wanted to know. I now will be able to download the cross-stitch designs knowing that my sewing machine will embroider them out. As you have said there is a cross-stitch programme for digitising but I don't want that, I just wanted to be able to sew them out.
Thanks for all your help.

(I love the idea of asking a question late at night, because I know when I wake up in the morning there will be an answer from the other side of the world, who will themselves just be going to bed!!! What a world eh?)

I have the 4D pro, I download designs all the time, but haven't tried the cross-stitch but you should be able to do it just like the other designs. save it in a folder and either bring it into organizer or extra. Good luck!
