I have found my self asking when it is one and can't find it. You have found the whole set but one...........a little help doesn't hurt does it? Not the exact spot. I am so sorry all this has happened.

No truer words have been spoken. Well done to all concerned.

Love and blessings Chris

(I think I've said it before, but after seeing Tubby doing his digitising - I would never do it - so am very thankful for all the hard work done by our wonderful digitisers here on this site and I personally want to thank them for all their hard work and effort.)

YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must agree with your request.

While at times I may struggle with a hunt, that is half the fun, and the more familiar you become with a particular website, the easier it is to figure out how the digitiser's mind works, and where they are likely to have hidden the free gift.

Now as a digitiser, I can REALLY understand why Penny is upset, anyone would be!

The whole idea of a digitiser giving away designs, in the form of a hunt, is so that you will look through their design sets, and POSSIBLY see something that takes your fancy, enough for you to buy it.

Yes, I have been guilty of asking for help to find a missing design, but only after i have exhausted every effort to find it myself and usually it is only ONE out of the whole set.

Yes, I have also been guilty of helping others to find missing designs, but only by giving further clues to where it can be found. I don't think I have ever been guilty of giving the URL to the freebie.

I know some people don't appreciate this but please remember one thing.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE DESIGN, and you can take it from me, that is the ABSOLUTE truth.

Anyone who has not read the article (at the link below) I beg you to do so as it will give you some insight into "The REAL Cost of a "FREE" Design"

And it was not mentioned that some very detailed designs take DAYS, not hours, to digitise.

>Also, that most experienced digitisers (the ones who take pride in their designs) have paid for 'very costly' tutorials, when they were starting out, and have spent months perfecting their skills. And, like any professional, they never stop trying to improve and learn better ways to digitise. Hence more tutorials are purchased from the most reknowned digitisers.

And yes, you can tell the difference between a carefully digitised design and one done my a total novice, or those using "Auto" digitising programs, or those who think they'll learn to digitise to make a quick killing and have absolutely no interest in the quality of their designs as long as they make a buck or two.

The quality of the stitchout is not the same, the density is never correct, there may be gaps in the fill, the pull comp may be too little, there may be too many layers of stitches, or there may be no underlay at all, sometimes a design will be such a mess as to be unrecognisable.

These are the designs you stitch once and wonder why you bothered downloading it at all.

OK, I've ranted enough. Please read the article and try to respect the digitiser offering her/his design as gifts to you. If you don't want to "HUNT" for the gifts, do what I do, skip it and go elsewhere.
hugs n roses, Meganne
