Look at all the answers below, and know that we ALL hope you get your machine back soon. The place where I bought mine is going out of business tomorrow, and I don't have a clue who I will take it to for repairs. I hope I can find some place like "mops" goes to ... no svc. charges in-between.
so glad you took your machine in; when they say clean I think they do parts you & I can't get at lol, etc. it cost me $100.00 for mine......I think they basically ended up cleaning it only, with the explanation of why my bobbin was bulking the thread from under also. A lot of the dealers are very good, but being in business they want to earn a buck! Sounds like your lady was tripping over her own words (???). We can only hope & rely on their honesty. Hope it doesn't take you too long to get it back, meanwhile kick back & relax lol
thanks it's kinda nice to know others have had the same problem, made me afaid I had bought the wrong machine....but I do love my machine...
I know how you feel...I had to take my sewing machine for a checkup and it seemed like everything needed sewing when I didn't have it. Yours will be back before you know it ;D *2U
So sorry for you. I have my machine(s) serviced ones a year at a very reasonable price and have the added bonus that don't charge man hours for repairs in between, just the parts. Hope you have yours back soon! *4U
I have the perfect solution (for at least one day) Go in the kitchen and mack a chocolate cake, some brownies, or some fudge and indulge foe just 1 day or maybe 2; then the next day it will be time to make a big ole fresh fruit salad with all of your favorite fruits ( plus whipped cream on top). Then maybe the 3rd day you can make some homemade chicken salad or tuna salad on a bed of lettuce. OK, we have counter-acted all the chocolate so now you can finish off the rest of the chocolate and not feel guilty afterwards. You do know that chocolate makes you feel good when nothing else ca!heehee Linda in Ga
I sure wish I could type! How about MAKE a chocolate cake!!! And indulge FOR
And feel good when nothing else CAN. I am going to have to start proof reading every word before I hit send
don't proof anything we all take each other just as we are, goofs and all, besides didnt' you see this weird email that went around about how you only read the first and last letter of each word anyway.
well - glad you vented - never easy to deal with the embroidery machine at the hospital is it? I hate it when they get sick like that. Hehehe!
bikermom, I have been putting off taking my machine to the shop also. I just can't do without it. I guess I need two embroidery machines then I wouldn't feel like this. Well, someday. If I were without the machine, I would be online downloading designs just waiting for its return. I think the comment about the canned air is correct. I sometimes try to get lint out and it goes someplace I can't see or reach.

AAwww Man!, no machine? That's terrible! Mine is like a landmark.. I am so sorry, but just know it will be back soon, safe and sound.
At least we know you didn't harm yourself. :) Things were sounding pretty bleak there for awhile! If you run out of things to do, feel free to stop by and clean my house for me.
so sorry to hear, I bring my machine each year for a service to the shop.they told me it's better and it was for my guarantee.but look at the sunny side, now you can clean that house, but you've got time too to look at all the projects and Q&A. never the less hope you have your machine back soon and they don't charge too much!!*4U as a consolation.
Sorry that you are without your machine!!!! If I had the extra time - I would organize my design files, cause mine could really use it!!! Hope you get your machine back quicker than you think and that the bill is lower than you expect!!!!
Don't know if you do it or not, but I was told repeatedly by the machine mechanic where I go NOT to use canned air to blow out lint. He says you blow debris INTO the parts you can't reach and he has to take it apart to get them out. (He was not the first one to tell me this.) I use a vacuum attachment to clean mine and unless I'm having a problem I only do it once a week. Sorry your baby went to hospital. Hopefully it will be well and back home in no time!
I've never used canned air, do use may vacuum with the special attachments for cleaning out that little space I can reach, if I can't reach it I don't touch it :-)
BOOO HOOOO I have put off taking my machine for a cleaning/tune up cuz I can't stand to be without it....MAYBE if I went away while it is away I wouldn't feel so LOST!!! Hey, Jump on the bike and go for a nice LONG restful ride...that aught to clear a few cobwebs tooo!!!
now that sounds like a good idea, maybe I'll take a drive to Popeye's! Jeez I just love their chicken :-)
Hi Bikermom, you poor thing. I hate it when I see all you cuties having problems with your machines and computers. Oh! well, as you say you can always clean the house. I love the little cartoon below - you can substitute the broken computer for your sewing machine. LOL
Love and blessings Chris (p.s. I hope it doesn't take too long being repaired)
I have an apron that says a CLEAN HOUSE IS A SIGN OF A WASTED LIFE. There's a picture of a lady (vintage like) bending over cleaning a bathtub. Of course she is wearing heels, an apron and lipstick--a real June Cleaver!
