Moyed, I saw your other question, too. The design you're looking at from NeedleWork.ru is the Big Iris, and it's way too big to be resized. That's designed for a commercial machine with a huge field, you'll never shrink it enough and keep it's integrity. I love that one, too, love irises, and downloaded it for the day the Tajima or Happy accidentally falls of the truck in front of my house, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji

I love that iris pattern, too and was really, really, really wanting to be able to sew it out. on my Innovis 2500D.

How big is your hoop, 4x4? You can usually re-size designs for the 5x7 hoop if they're kind of square, using one of the free programs like Wilcom's True Sizer or Tajima's Pulse. You have to use a program that changes the number of stitches, because otherwise you will end up with a really 'bulletproof' design & break needles. I use my Janome Digitizer Pro to shrink designs, it does change the stitch count, but even so I find it does a better job if I do it in increments rather than all at once. I.e., instead of reducing the design by 40%, reduce it by 20% and then by another 15%. Someone's going to come along and give you the links to those sites, I'm sure, but you could just search Tajima & find it pretty quickly. They may have better suggestions, too, but here's a flower for now. Hugs, Marji

You could resize with WilcomTruesizer. Remeber however that you cant resize too much and certain things not at all. FSL can't be resized, satin stitches only very little, say 10% or so. The best way to embroider a design that's too large is by splitting it, but you'll need software to do that. Much has been said here on Cute on the subject. Look in 'tips'. I added 2 links.

Doesn't TrueSizer reduce the stitch count, Martine? I don't use it, so I'm not sure. Thanks, Marji

It does, but satin stitch may give odd results when converted, so you'll have to test stitch to make sure it's okay.
