Poor Silvie, I'm so sorry to hear about your machine, you must feel lost without your machine. I hope that the prblem will be solved soon for you. Hugs.
OK girls! I sent my machine this morning. I also called my home insurance by saying that my cats had played with a coil of wire that was trapped under the arm of the machine ... this is not well but I try. Unfortunately, I have a deductible of € 125 but if the cost of repair is beyond, they will charge ... to follow...
just a suggestion, if you have houshold insurance with new for old then why not claim on it. I had a Janome 800 for over fifteen years it broke when i dropped it but there was no way i could afford a new one, so i contacted my insurance company and told them that i had accidentaly dropped the machine and it was broken beyond repair as it was too old for spare parts, was told no problem get two seperate quotes for a new one and send them in.
Result full amount cheque for a new janome memory craft 9700 with the new for old policy
many people have this insurance and forget they can actually claim and so just keep paying in.
the new machine cost me £50.00 excess on the policy and they gave me a cheque for £1500.00 the machine was on special offer of £1200.00 so the extra paid for the gigga hoop and then customiser soft ware. plus a meal in the local cafe.
hope this will help someone to get a new upto date machine. annie in the Uk
it's true that we don't always think about home insurance ... but then, my machine is too new: I bought in December 2007 :o(
hope all works out for you......thats a bummer to have that happen.
Help, thought I had a long journey to my dealer but nothing like yours. BUT hopefully he will be able to sort you out rapidly and have you back at your machine sewing before you know
OH I am so sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you can get to your dealer soon and it will be fixed for you in a hurry. Maybe it will just need a new bobbin and be real easy to fix.
so sorry your machine is broken. Hopefully it will not take long to fix it.
Hope you got it to the shop today. Good luck in getting it repaired.
Oh NO!!!! I feel for you. My baby was away for a week with my dealer almost 3hrs drive away. Mind you now that 'she' is back I haven't had a real lot of time to sew, sew, sew.
On the plus side would have to be spending more time on CUTE
Hugs and Sparkles from minicow
Sorry for you dear Sissi, you have to send it by transportor. And now you have to spend all your time here on Cute to chat with us!!!!
Just a few hours of down and I turn in circles ... thank you for your support! I hope I have good news tomorrow and above all, do not stay too long without machine ....
I am so sorry for your loss. 900 km, that's a long way for service. Do you send it?
I think I would try to get a replacement of equal value to use while they have yours! They may try to do you like Meg's dealer has done her. At least you will have a machine to use. My dealer here in Ga. is just great but he has never had to keep mine. I do not know what would happen if he did! Good luck on getting yours working very soon! Linda in Ga
Sissi I know that it is pain now but it will work out for your good. After every storm comes the sun and rainbow. LQQK forward to the GQQD that will arrive your way. *2U
OOOH NOOO!! I'm soooo sorry... I hope he can help u out... I would be lost with out my baby, I'm sure as U r too... GL... (((HUG)))& *4U...
Sam :)
Sorry to hear about your machine. Mine seems to malfunction when I walk away too. Last night the prewound bobbin got down to the last bit of thread on it and it was secured to the bobbin and the top thread just kept feeding itself into the bobbin area. I had to cut and cut thread before I could get the hoop off of the machine and had to take the machine apart to get the very large ball of thread cut out of the bobbin area. I would have thought that the machine would have stopped much sooner than it did. This isn't the first time that this has happened. My machine still works though.
That is quite a trip you will have to make to have your machine fixed. Can you send it by UPS instead? Or have them send it back by UPS so you don't have to make 2 trips there? How will you do it?
I do not know yet. I look forward tomorrow to have a board of my dealer...
Horrid, horrid, horrid. I hope you can get it fixed promptly. The withdrawal symptoms must be terrible. Hugs and *, Lois
Ouch!!! That sucks, Sissi. Hope you get it working soon. Prayers and Blessings, Libbie
I'm so sorry! I know just how you feel! I hope you get your machine repaired quickly!
Oh Sissi, I am so sorry!! Please don't go into withdrawal. I hope it won't take long before it's right again. *4U
Yuckie sissi....I find it a real pain to have to sit and watch my machine work it's magic, but have learned the hard way I have to stand guard or the gremlins seem to attack....hope you can get things fixed without too much expense...take care hugs x0x0x
Those machines do get jealous when you dont pay every minutes attention to them ! Hope you get it going soon . We all feel your pain .
I am so sorry. This is terrible news! My machine does not like it when I walk away from her either! I hope you get this quickly fixed. That is a long trip!
Oh my dear - I do understand how you are feeling and believe me the road trip will be worth it in the long run - a very long trip - I might add - good luck in the mean time - time to organize files and plan your next couple projects. *4U
oh dear,I'm sure you desperately miss your machine. Hope it will be fixed soon.hugs and flower for you!
Here I sit waiting patiently (yeah right) for my machine to come home from the hospital. It's been a week so far and I'm going absolutely nuts! I've tried using my serger but it doesn't embroider! *giggle* So I'm dead in the water til my baby comes homes and I'm the first one to tell you I don't like this at all....hopefully your repairman will fix it quick. If you wanted to drive there call first and explain the problem ask when you can bring it in and wait for it....have a shopping day and then bring it home with you. Good luck
Oh Sissi, I'm so sorry to hear that! I do hope you have it repaired soon. I just can imagine how I would feel if something happens with my baby, it's a long way to Japan to get it repaired! You have my sympathy! Love and a BIG hug!!! Yoriko
I wish you get your machine repaired very quickly, Sissi. It is so upsetting when your machine breaks down. mine broke in July 2008 and I still don't have it back yet. hugs n roses, Meganne
Oh you poor dear. On top of all you have been going thru, to have no machine. YUK. Hope you get back to embroidering soon! Best Wishes to you on everything. Love, Lois
Meg, you are being too patient! If it were me They would have sent me a replacement or a new one by this time. That is almost a year! Sounds like they have no intentions of doing anything with your machine unless you get behind them! Do you have a Better Business Bureau in your town? I would be spreading the word around about how unsavory their business dealings are. You might even be able to take legal action to get your machine back. 10 months is a long time! Linda in Ga
OOOHHHH NNOOO...I would be in a panic...You will HAVE to take a ROAD TRIP!!!...I think if you try to straighten anything you might cause MORE damage...Pack it up and take it in!!!
not impossible to make the road trip : I'm alone with my son all week! I contacted by email, I expect the answer ... but I think I'll send the machine in the mail :o(
So it cannot work at all? Recently i have scare too
I placed this water soluable stabilisr on my material (not framed) and then the needle foot which looks like a hoop for my Janome kind of stuck between the stabiliser!!! it cannot move and goes ee ooh ee ohh sound grrr grrr and the mechanism is totally jam! *faint*. I cannot stop it by pressing stop button so i quickly off it
i on it again, set it to netural position after i cut that piece of shit (can i use this? hehehe) stabiliser and the machine made some weird sound initially and then it looks fine. i tried to do the design and PHEW, its still working fine
I was freaking out at that time but luckily it still works. So i really can understand the shock u get too. its like heart stop a beat or two at that moment.
not impossible to work the machine makes a funny noise and the wire tangle :o(
oh dear. Hope u have the time to bring over to dealer and get it back soon. Its great deal of having 5yrs warranty. I only have 2yrs for mine.
Oh my word....I am sorry to hear that!! You have my sympathy!!! Hope that it will be repaired as quick as possible!!!!
*4U!
