doggie door and presented it at the foot of my bed with a proud look on her face. It is very much alive and still in my bed room. I tried putting the cat carrier with door open and a few pieces of dry cat food in it for bait, but the cat ate them. What am I to do????? I will not sleep a wink!!! I even thought of bringing in the neighbor's cat as my Kiki has lost interest in the chase. Please give me much wanted advise. Kay

Definitely a chipmunk Kay & my cat that is passed away now, use to lay them at my feet Untill one got loose n the basement. Didn't think we would ever get that chipmunk. Watch out for them they will eat your bulbs n the flower bed. that might have been Chip or Dale, that was one of my fave cartoons when I was young. Glad u got it out. My ca would get them behind the neck like they carry kittens, & it would usually lay there stunned for a min or 2 when she put it down. time to throw something over it & get it out. This is funny u know, but your kitty was only providing for u to show u she loves u. that was her Mothers Day gift to U. LOL Lillian *

Funny, Lilian! Of course Kiki was giving Katy a present, and trying to teach her to hunt! MomCats bring live stuff to kittens & teach them to catch it so they too can be good hunters. Katy is a most un-cooperative 'kitten', getting someone else to catch it for her! Hee hee hee, M

I don't need to learn to hunt. I have a Kroger's close by.

If the broom does not work, perhaps you can try to tame it! oh dear hope you can get rid off it, before it going to see your bedroom as a new home.call in all the neighbour kids, kids like to make noise.perhaps a lot of noise and jelling and shouting makes it decide to back to nature.hope something works 4 u.

Actually, chipmunks tame very well, and are cute as all get out. Until they eat your wiring. Ask me how I know, hee hee hee. I still wouldn't kill one, though. M

This has made me laugh, so sorry. I have been here before but usually with the cat bringing a rabbit in. Currently the cat flap is locked to stop the night time dinner UNDER the table. I rescued the last 'dinner' but sadly it died, which after being dragged some way and through the flap is hardly surprising. I see this as the downside of having cats and am fortunate to only have one hunter of my three. Whatever your cat brought in sounded interesting. Glad to hear your problem has gone. What did you do with it after you had trapped it?

Yep, and that's why there's no cat flap on this house!! My 'hunters' are getting older, and prefer to hunt in the food dish, mostly. Inky, my Manx, still brings me baby moles. He's a city boy, what're you going to do, hee hee hee. A 'real' cat would be embarassed to bring me something the size of my little finger, but he's so proud of himself!

Oh, yes, hee hee hee, big daddy cat Dancer brought in the mother snake, and kitten Patches one of the baby snakes, there was a nest somewhere. Both very much alive, of course. I've discovered Tupperware works for snakes, too, unless you can get them behind the head before puss-puss drops them, hee hee hee. M

What a delightful dilemma.
The poor little thing is probably much more terrified than you are. Imagine being attacked by a tiger and taken to it's lair, only to be confronted by a Giant who is probably going to eat me. LOL!!!

I wish I was there..... hugs n roses, meg

Kay, do you have a neighbor - or a young boy close by - they love helping - give them a broom and a dust pan - beg them for help. I wouldn't sleep a wink either.

trap it with a bowl, use peanut butter bait. wait with the bowl then whammy! slide cardboard underneath then out it goes, but be careful not to drop it. good luck, i couldn't sleep, either...

Wonderful!!! That means I stand there ,still, and wait until it takes the bait and whammy. Where do you live? come and help me!!!

marjialexa by marjialexa 11 May 2009

I think I use my Tupperware more for trapping & releasing things like this than for food storage, hee hee hee. M
