will our upper chain of command realize that these kids (I mean kids) are so stressed beyond their limits. My husband is a retired military man and he would tell me how some of these kids had so many issues, and problems. He would tell me how he was their parent, counselor, priest all wrapped into one. I am proud to say that many of these kids still keep in touch and thank him for being there for them and ask him to come back. Now that is a complement.

It is very sad we are allowing children to do this...yes I agree the are children..In general a person really doesn't start maturing till guys at 25 and girls around 21/22...To think these kids were playing game boy and x box slightly before being pushed into the real of it...As Americans, we need to protect our country I agree, but we really need to watch how we pick our situations. I won't start an issue here because we all feel different and its our right, but we need to let kids grow up and enjoy some of their young lives before we put them in front of a gun and people who grew up without a care for others....I should say who were taught that to take and not think anything of it....My heart goes out to the civilians who are just trying to live and raise a family....and to our children we send over there...

I come from a family where my brothers all volunteered for Viet Nam. My older son is 100% disabled from the Navy. My other son is in Afgan. and saw his best friend killed while standing next to him. My son was grazed by the same Afgan. National working for the Army, can you believe that. I am all for protecting our country, but why fight against those that don't want to better themselves. I best not say too much. I usually just keep my feelings to myself but the last couple of days I have not slept well and I can't pin point why. Just needed to vent a little. Thanks for listening.
