Hello everybody. I have a question. Not embroidery related. I want to plant a climber but I would like one that has pretty flowers, and it has to resist -25°F Thank you so much

Letvia,
Here's something to take a look at,
Autumn Revolution™ Bittersweet or
'Dropmore Scarlet' Honeysuckle
both very cold tolerant.
Here's a website with information on both.

You may look at some varieties of trumpet vines. I live in an area that reaches temps below -20 F some years, not always though and they survive. They have a woody stalk and some varieties grow up to 40' in height. They come in a variety of colors from yellow to red. If you have a local gardening center for your area, that really is the best place to go to find the types of plants that are hardy for where you live. Rose mallows also thrive here, they are deceptive, they look like they die each year and only revive later in the spring. They have blooms the size of dinner plates, they are a variety of hibiscus.

Dear letvia, can I see it right "-25oF" ... bbrrr... I was born and lived in Switzerland until I married and moved to Australia 21 years ago. Hey, but it never got that cold there!?!? ... he... OK getting to the point: what about a climbing rose, that you can cut back and cover over winter? In Switzerland my dad still grows the most beautiful roses that he cuts back at the end of autumn and covers up before it snows. Anything woody should do the trick. Good Luck! Mary
