The hearts on the quilt were appliqued using the embroidery machine and the quilted hearts were done using the placement stitch-out from the applique pattern. I made this quilt using Sharon Pedersen's 'reversible quilt' technique and I'm very pleased with the result, but it did entail a lot of hand stitching!!

Beautiful job Shirley - I just love heart quilts. Well done too for all the hand stitching. I've given up on that - I've had 2 Carpal Tunnel operations on both hands and they don't handle "hand" sewing too well these days. Love and blessings Chris

Lovely quilt, Shirley. I'll have to look up what the reversible quilt technique entails. At a guess you sew the quilted blocks together with the thin strips and have to do one of the seams by hand.
