It's spring time in Japan, and I'm allergic to some pollen, my eyes are red and I'm sneezing all the time. First thing I will do this morning is to go to the drugstore and get some anti-allergic medicine. This is a wonderful season of the year in Japan, for its flowers and scenes, but the worst for the ones who suffers from allergy. I got the chance to hug my oldest granddauther, she is in the first grade already!!! It's amazing how children grow up so fast! Next Saturday I will be going to visit my oldest and youngest son, they live in another city. I can't wait to hug my another granddaughter and Yukio. In the school, taking measures to close it, so many paper work and packing...it is so sad to see the end of one of my dreams.

Well, while in Japan, I'm going to enjoy as much as I can, so positive thoughts! If anyone in Australia needs something from Japan, just let me know! I miss you all. Love, Yoriko

Hi Yoriko,

So thrilled to see you arrived safely and all is going to plan. Sorry about your allergies - I agree with Meg, Telfast or any good antihistimine will do the job.

I bet Japan is looking beautiful with all the gorgeous blossoms out. As the others have suggested some lovely pictures of all that is Japanese would be good to bring back with you. When I travelled last year every country I went to I bought some fabric so that I could make patchwork items from it. I reckon you should get some lovely Indigo fabric - I know there is a little factory in Mashiko but that is a long way from Nagoya. I am sure there are other places that sell it.

I will keep thinking of you as you venture to see your sons this weekend. I hope everything goes well for you.

And yes, Yoriko keep positive thoughts going through your mind - life is a journey and there are many roads to travel. You never know what is around the next bend, do you? Thank you for thinking of us when you have so much on your mind.

Love and blessings to you Chris

Glad to see you have already hugged grand-daughter number 1.

I am so glad you arrived safely and will get to enjoy your family again. Pity about your allergies, they really put a damper on enjoying Spring so I hope you can find some good anti-histamine like Telfast 120.

I agree with Kerry, lots of beautiful flower pictures and if you see any Geishas, and they will let you photograph them, I would love some to try and digitise. I love Geishas and cherry blossoms and Pagodas & Mt Fuji. My dream to visit Japan and China would almost seem real to share through you.

Hugs n much love, Meganne

Japan is a brilliant place to visit. Something to look forward to after all your treatment?
The fabric used for kimonos is beautiful and I have been able to watch fabric being woven. I have 3 silk scarves that have my name woven into that were a gift. I treasure them greatly

Just remembered went into what turned into a huge fabric shop in Hiroshima where they let me take loads of photos. The choice was out of this world. Perhaps that is what we need a Cute visit somewhere/anywhere to look/feel/buy fabric and other goodies
