When I've had this problem I've found that it was because there were small pieces of thread and/or lint accumulated under the bobbin. Remove the bobbin, the bobbin holder, and brush out any debris.
I hope by now u no longer have a problem cracker. I have found if I switch to prewound bobbin on a designs I was doing when I have bn using a bobbin i wound I have problems, I try not to do this . *4U
I do not if you have solve the problem by now, but I hope this will help. It sound to me like you have too different situations going on. When you used the embroidery thread in the bobbin it require less tension than the bobbin thread because it is thicker than the bobbin thread. First rethread the machine, check to see if the thread is tangle in some place, then lower the upper tension by half a number and increase the bobbin tension by a quarter turn of the tension screw to see how it will work. Try to increase the bobbin tension in quarter turn until the bobbin thread do not show up any more.I hope this will help.
Same thing happened to me. Being a long way from any repair shop I rang where I had bought it. Only 2 months old, I was upset. After much mucking around and checking the bobbin many times, I found a piece of thread in the upper tensions. He was very good explaining what to do. If I had to send it away I would have been without my machine for 1 to 2 weeks and cost some $.
If your second bobbin was pre-threaded and the first one was not I think it is even more likely that it is a tension thing because they were no doubt wound at different tensions. That is if it was working with the first bobbin. Do you have a tension touch screen to loosen the tension?
I guess, I am going to have to take it in. slowed the machine down.... no luck, the bobbin is pre wound... and the other wasn't. I have re-threaded... no luck. Guess I'll have to wait a day to continue working.
Thanks
I hope you have solved the problem by now - it can be so frustrating when your machine plays up!
Malani, so sorry to hear that you are having trouble - by now - I hope it is fixed and you are stitching away - *4U
I go with sewmom it happened to me and it was the bobbin threads tension. rewind it to another bobbin Love Marie.
This is usually a problem with the upper thread. Try re-threading. You may need to floss the tension disks.
I had to slow my machine down once because mine did the same thing...after awhile it stopped...sewmoms suggestion probable what you need to do...change bobbin
You could try reducing the tension. You could also try re-winding the bobbin thread, some times they wind badly.
