Very nice. You must have had a ton of that yarn. I love the color. I crochet too and appreciate how much work went into them. You could have posted in projects, but I probably would have missed it. I think most of us do more than embroidery and it's nice to share the other crafts too. I lump them all together and say I do "needle crafts" it fits if you consider a crochet hook a needle:-)
Just gorgeous! You should feel, justifiably proud of your achievements.
I love to crochet but find my hand cramps up now, ever since i broke it in three places, so I have several UFO's waiting for attention. Maybe I'll get back to it when everything else settles down.
I actually created a shoulder problem from too much crocheting and ironing(was making several aprons for someone). I had to put down the hook for a few months and get physical rehab. I'm fine now and I make sure I take lots of breaks.
Great Job. I see that you figured out the corners. Some lucky child that will get one of the plankets.
I am only able to check in shortly from my trip. Currently in Germany going back to USA Saturday.
Yes, it was the corners on the one with the white trim. I didn't extend the center area because I didn't like the way the corners were turning out so I doubled the size of the white trim instead. I really like the size it turned out to be.

I love to crochet afgans in the winter...it's the only thing I can crochet...can't read the patterns...knitting is a whole nother ball game...I would be LOST IF I didn't have it with me at all times...Kids told me IF they ever made it to the major leagues that I would be on TV knitting when they hit a home run!!!!
Oh my goodness - these are so beautiful - why didn't you share these in the project section - I love this color, one of my favorites. You have so much work involved in these. Thanks you sor sharing them.
You can share any sort of crafty project, as far as I am concerned - we love to view them all. *4U
Well done, they are both beautiful. It would be a lovely babies blanket too. *4U
Love both of them! Especially like the pattern on the right. I also carry crochet with me on trips. The usually are baby blankets for Project Linus.
They are from Leisure Arts Best of Terry Kimbrough Afghans if you are interested. The one on the right is called Bouquet of Shells the left one is called Peachy. I made them a little bigger than what the pattern called for.
That's a lot of waiting time! I love the one on the right, nice stitch pattern. It's addictive and so easy to take with you, just one hook and the yarn. Great work, both of them.
Thank you. It was easy to carry everywhere until they were almost done then they hardly fit in my tote bag!
