Kay, thank you - it was nothing - I love their thread as many other CUTE members do as well - I know you and any other's that might purchase it will be happy with it - I loved your project and can see it worked well with your machine - I have a Baby Lock Ellegante and it works wonderful with it, too. *4U
I have ordered their thread many times and have always been VERY pleased with the thread, colors and sheen. DON'T HESITATE!!! GREAT PRICES!!
I have not ordered from them yet but plan to when my supplies start getting low. I have heard other Cuties just rave on it and that sold it for me. What I use now I ordered from Ebay (Thread Art I think) and have had all good work from it. It is really hard to change when you have something that works well. I purchased the 20 roll pack for 26.00 with no shipping. So you can't beat that. Has a great shine to it also.
I've been kind of afraid to take the leap with the Metro threads, too. They look beautiful, but I'd hate to end up wasting a bunch of money that I don't have. And it seems silly to order just one to try and pay all that postage. Love to hear from other Cuties who use metro threads, and what machines. I have a Janome 300E. It will sew with binder twine if it has to, it's not the machine I'm worried about. I got some very expensive Floriani thread, and while it is more gorgeous than any thread I've seen, it shreds like a son-of-a-gun! Sometimes 100 stitches, shred, 100 more stitches, shred, I'd like to throw it thru the window!! Change to RA or Isacord, design works fine, try Floriani, shreds. So y'all tell me if the Metro shreds or not, I can't afford to replace the window again, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji
I have a Janome 350e and the Metro threads are working great. I've used both the small cones and large cones, in many different colors. I'm a satisfied customer!
Thanks, it doesn't shred then? My Floriani is annoying the dickens out of me!
Marji, Try using a needle with a longer eye. Organ makes them. That might help you with your Floriani. I use it and love it....Barb
The only time I have shedding problems if I let me needle go past it's useful life! That's usually my sign to change the needle. I'm somewhat new to machine embroidery, and I'm not sure why that is, but it's the connection I've found. For me, newer needle = no shredding!
I have a Bernina machine and yes I also love the RA thread but this is cheaper and I use the organ large eye titanium needles. I buy them from www.allstitch.net. I love the titanium needles.
I laughed about the binder twine, then laughed until I cried about replacing the window. LOL
I bought the one of the pre-packed option they have and worked as well as other known brands, has some brilliant colors and I'm making a new list of colors to order again.
