posted in projects.. reverse image.. tried to figure out how to change a design with different programs with no luck.. when to my machine finally a little frazzeled.. and right there in the edit screen of the amazing machine there is a button to do it allllllll.I have had this machine for 2 years now and went to classes and all that stuff and did not remember what all it can do for us.. I guess because we are a little nervous when we buy something like this that lots do not really sink in the old brain... now I can laugh..

When I've just got a machine I read the manual religiously, which helps a lot. Later I regularly take the manual(s) of my machine(s) to bed with me .. sounds promising.. and read a couple of pages. And now and again I discover something new, especially concerning features I've only used once or twice. In the past I used to stitch out all special stitches on a sampler - I still got them from my 1963 and 1979 machines. But the modern once have so many stitches I did not bother with my Desinger 1, so now I have to test stitch before I start using one of them. But I do play with edit buttons to see what they can do for me - although I don't make samplers with them - just hope that I remember without visual aids.

I agree with Shirlene, a wonder we remember any of it!! Glad you found that edit button now, you know you can do a lot besides mirror or flip the image with it, probably, if it's like my Janome. Pet your machine & treat it nicely, hee hee hee, it's probably snickering at you secretly, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji

I've been reading my Instruction Manuals while I have chemo and i got some of those sticky markers, that you write on, and I place one on each page that I think I might need to refer back to.

It's amazing how much I have discovered about my Elna XQ2 and Designer Diamond.

I know I will never use all their features unless I know what they are. LOL!!! I just hope both machines will last long enough for me to use them to their full potential.

It's so exciting every time I discover another feature I didn't know about.

Hugs n roses, Meganne

be very gentle to these little darlings and they will be happy, but if you get angry at them they seem to fall apart and off to the shop they go... funny but true..

Kathy, it is funny - when you are first new and trying to learn everything about a new machine - plus all that you need to learn about working with a program for your PC and your machine and then all that you have to remember to prepare an article for embroidery work and getting all those supplies together - it is a wonder that any of get an new projects done in the beginning - but once we know abit about our machines and our embroidery work - our brains can open up to all that we can learn about our programs and the machines that we are working with - you are doing great - if you learn something new - keep up the good work. *4U
