I think your BFF needs to go back to where she found that info and tell that person how wrong they are. Goofy is and always will be a dog. Besides, moose have antlers and they don't have long droopy ears. This is too funny to be believed. LOL
OK, I found this Disney site that clearly gives the answer, Dippy Dawg. Woof!
Think I asked that question at WDWorld; they said he was a dog. Had no answer for why he talks, walks upright, wears clothes while Pluto does none of these... strange..
Wikipedia refers to him as being a dog. They take about his first appearance with Disney cartoons, etc.....and in each case calls him a dog or dawg. A flower for you!*
No way, Goofy is a dog of some kind, Bullwinkle is a moose. Just 'cause you read it on the internet doesn't make it true, hee hee hee. Moose have rather prominent antlers, which Goofy doesn't have. Now female moose don't have antlers, so if Goofy is a moose without antlers, is he/she a cross-dressing moose? I think this is taking us somewhere we really don't want to go, so as far as I see it, Goofy is a dog, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji
Well, I'll have to try looking it up cuz I'll never see Goofy as anything but a dog!
Now, who's seen a moose with long, dangling ears! Or is he named "Goofy" because he's a goofy moose?!Hummm.
I always thought he was not a dog, because Pluto is a dog and Goofy is totally different. A moose would make sense!
Hugs n roses, M
