God is More Than Able

by Tony Evans

In this economic slump, many households, literally, are living from paycheck to paycheck. Many families have just enough; others will never have all that they want. Yet God has more than enough to provide for our every need.

Although you may believe that you can’t make it through another month or that your life is stamped “insufficient funds,” the truth is: God has more than enough. When we put Him first and pray about our needs, God promises to meet those needs every time in amazing ways.

As believers, we should never be afraid of life’s circumstances because Jesus has promised never to leave us. He is with us, facing whatever we face. David– understood this, both as a shepherd boy and as a king. That’s why he knew that he could walk through the valley.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:4).

He knew that he would come out on the other side because nothing he faced could ever be greater than the God he served. Your heart may be troubled. You may feel as though you cannot go on another step, but you can, just not alone. Whenever your heart is hurting, Jesus is your strength and greatest source of encouragement. Have you taken time to be with Him today?

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Psalm 62 (one of my favourites)

Love and blessings Chris (thanks for these uplifting daily words)

yes, yes, I have! So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22
The Greek word for JOY is Chara, and the Greek word for Grace is charis, So Joy is an assumption in grace. Joy is literally written into grace! Our Joy is to be written into the Book of Life.;)
