Good evening from France ! Has one of you ever bought thread on Designsbysick ? They have now sale and we only pay 65 cents a spool. Has one of you ever tested this thread, please ?

I've bought their thread set and it stitches out beautifully on my Brother. No problems whatsoever with the quality of the thread. It has a nice sheen to it and you can't beat the price (unless it's Metro). Blessings, Sandra

I have never purchased thread from them.....I did just order from Metro.....they were having 10% off their price of 65 cents a spool. I do not know international rates for postage though. I have heard wonderful things about Metro thread. Good luck with your decision!*

Hello, I received the spools from Designsbysick. Deliver was very fast (I live in France)and the threads look nice but I have not yet try them. I don't know the prices in USA or elsewhere, but I can say it was halfprice than in France (for the cheaper one in good qualitiy as Ciefe, Royal, etc.).
Have a good day !

I have already boughtthread from Metro, and it was good. Now they have sales at Metro: 116 spools for 75.40$ that is 0.65 $ each +shipping, On design bysick, it is 112 spools for 112$ and 35%off all USA and Canadian, that is also 0.65$ each+ shipping. But I do not understand if the 35% off is only for USA and Canada, if it is available for france???

Yes, it is. When you fill in the order form and name the country you live in you'll see the price $112, the reduction $39.20 and the shipping costs %57,50, total $130.30.

I purchased their 50 spool set before Christmas and sew on a Janome machine. The thread is good, nice sheen, and no problems on my machine. At this price, you can't go wrong!!

I've not used it, but it seems like a really good deal, a lot of colors for shading, flesh tones, etc. Some machines are particular about the thread they use, mine isn't fussy. I'm contemplating getting some, depending on $ of course. Hugs, Marji

I had gotten an email about this sale, and I went to check it out. I'm a bit confused....the sale says that the thread is 65 cents a spool. When I looked on teh site, they are selling the 112 color kit for $112. To me...that's $1 a spool!! STILL a great price! But that doesn't add up to 65cents a spool.
Am I mis-interpreting somethnig here??

When you put it in your card there is a reduction of 35%, so although you get the impression it's $1 a spool, you actually pay less. And according to your address the postage is added.

I have not usedit either. I noticed it's polyester. The shipping costs are lower than Metro's, $ 57, which makes a total of $130 for 112 1000m spools, that's well under 100 euros, not bad as Madeira sells for € 5.25!!

I have purchased thread from Designsbysick and love it. I have no issues using the thread and the sheen is just beautiful. It is the same thread as Metro and I have purchased all the other colors from them. While it is on sale you should give it a try.

I've used threads from both Designs by SiCK and Metroemb. These threads just hum in my Quattro. No breakages due to the thread--operator error, yes, but not the thread. Go for the best deal you can get in this economy. --Sandra

Francoisen I have not used sicks thread personally but have been told by others that have they liked it. It has bn my experience that different machines like different threads, what does well for one does not do well for another. Don't think I would buy a lot 'till I tried it out. *4U

I bought mine from Metro when it was on sale. Don't know if it is still on sale, but I love it. Works great on my machine.
