Hmmmmm that's what mine use to look like under my poodle skirts. I remember getting a skate wheel caught n a ruffle one time at the rink. Oh what a mess. Yrds & yrds of net everywhere. LOL. *

From what I have learned about pettiskirts, there would not be much difference in the width of the fabric for an adult, but mostly in how long they would be. You would still be working with three tiers.

I dread to think how many yards of material are in it; How Many?

If my calculations are correct, it totaled about 86 yards, but 55 yards of it was only 2" wide.

It's about 86 yards, but some of the strips are only 2" wide(the bottom fluff part)

OH my goodness - thank you. So when you purchase fabric - how much do you have to buy for one of these?

quail by quail 04 Jun 2009

You can make one with around five yards of fabric. You use nylon chiffon because it doesn't ravel. It sells on the net for $1.54 a yard. You might not need five yards, but I have not made one in a single tone yet, only two toned. Even if you buy too much with five yards, at $1.54 a yard, the extra expense is minimal.

Just amazing, that you get all that in five yards, WOW!
