I used to split designs embrodery with Embird-Editor.
My singer machine do not accept more than 12 colors in one design so I have to split a lot!

2 ways to split there: after a color or after a selected stitch or one part of the design. You can either split all the colors and removed them in the order you want.
You can download it free for 30 days.

Claire, what kind of machine do you have, how big is your field, and what is your budget? The new version of Janome's Digitizer Pro has a really cool feature that makes splitting designs sooo easy, but that's a whole professional digitizing program, and a dynamite one at that, it's the one I use. Being pro, it's expensive, like $1500-2000 worth. But if you got this software, you'd never have to purchase anything else. It has no add-ons, plug ins, everything is included. It has a Gallery view, that lets you view your designs without opening them, even most of the zipped ones, and the jpg's too. The program is written by Wilcom, the only drawback to it I see is that it will not read ART or convert ART files. Wilcom also wrote the Bernina software, and they have mutual exclusivity, Bernina won't read JEF, either. Good luck in your search. Hugs, Marji

I have Digitizer MB v2.0 for my MB4 machine and am looking to upgrade to the new Digitizer MB3, which will cost about $500.00 for the upgrade. Do you know if I will need a new dongle with it. I love the program I have.

Yes, when you get the upgrade, you'll get the new dongle as part of the purchase. There were upgrades to 2.o which my dealer installed for me, and actually the whole new MB3 is on there too, but because I didn't purchase the upgrade, I didn't get the dongle. How do you like the MB4? I drool over it every time I go to the dealer, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji
