Depending what you are doing try 'glue sticks' pref the acidfree ones used for scrapbooking. I now use these for all my inhoop projects. I did manage to buy one can of temp adhesive spray from spotlight, its just too fiddly for me, and didn't work that great anyway. The gluesticks hold long enough to stitch everything together. Works great for me anyway.

thank you for the advice. I ran my dealer and they told me don't even bother with the glue my machine has a basting stitch that will work as well.

I purchased the GOOD STUFF, 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray from ShoppersRule.com
Supposedly, it is the best you can buy and won't gum up your machine.
I know it may seem expensive but....
after having my machine in the repair shop for nine months, there is no way I will use anything that may cause problems, so if 505 is the best for my machine......
I kept looking at all the adhesive sprays in Spotlight, Lincraft and Bunnings, none of them I saw actually said they were temporary, just that you could use a lesser amount if you didn't want a permanent fix. I just wasn't prepared to experiment.

Hopefully someone else who has used something purchased here will be able to help us both.

hugs n love, Meganne

Hi, I don't like to use spray. If you make lace, you can dissolve the off cuts of the "solvy" in a bit of water and put it in a spray bottle. Some very good advise was given just a couple of days ago. Good Luck, Mary
