Faboulous work Claire, I loved it from the moment I saw it. Looks great in the real and boy that was a lot of work but well worth it.
Thanks Sandra, yours are terrific also!!! Have you posted them yet??? I'm sure the cute family will love them too. Hugs Claire
WOW! This is just beautiful! You have done an amazing job!
Outstanding ! I think I have that rose design. I really like the scroll design you added. I have been wondering what type of stabilizer should be used on satin.
Thanks!!! The stabiliser I used was 2 layers of medium weight cutaway and it worked well. Cheers Claire
Claire Claire Claire....STUNNING. I was wondering who did this one, yuor work is outstanding...You know you have all set yourselves a high standard for next month don't you? Will be waiting to see how you all top this months....Well done...Kerry
Thank you for your lovely words Kerry. Next month's project is a sissor case so not a big surface to embroider, but I am sure we will see some magnificent work then too. It is so inspiring to see the work of others who often think of different things to yourself. Cheers Claire
Beautiful Claire, well done and looks beautiful on the dark couch
Thank you Sheryl, the couch they are on is where I pictured them fitting when I selected the fabric and the flower colours!!! Hugs Claire
Claire, this is stunning - I bought this same design for a pillow - but have never gotten to it - I also love the scroll addition and actually have that design, as well - I love how you have put this all togehter - great job. *4U Shirlene
Thank you Shirlene, I made the rose & tulip design as big as my largest hoop could fit so it ended up 200 x 200mm and then pieced together the scroll designs to fit around it in my design package. I then had to split the scroll border into 4 to fit it in my hoop!!! Quite a bit of work but I was happy with the end result. Cheers Claire
So pretty--the white on white is gorgeous!
Thanks daisy, the fabric is a pale baby blue, although it looks different in different lights.
oh it must have taken you ages to do it is so loverly well done *4u les
Hi Les, It took approx 5 hours to just embroider the designs for each cushion and that was without getting the placement of all the designs just right!!! I also made the cushion insert, so all up with embroidery and sewing each cushion took approx 10 hours of work... phew!!!
Claire, this is gorgeous. I love the scrolls, they make such a nice frame for your wonderful roses.
Thank you mops. I had to do 5 hoopings to complete each cushion, 1 for the roses/tulips and 4 for the scroll border - lining up the scrolls was a bit of a challenge. In total there is approx 5 hours of embroidery time!!! Cheers Claire
