here is megs moonstar font on my grand daughter favorite blankie a special cutie made for her
It is obvious you are very new here otherwise you would be aware that I digitised/created my version of Moonstar Font over 12 months ago from Public Domain fonts. Check the date of the posting at the link below 16th June 2008.
As an ex Paralegal and Justice of the Peace you can rest assured that ANY designs I digitise are from artwork that is licenced, whether it has been either purchased or given as a free gift from graphic designs websites, such as Clipartopolis, Clipartoon, Design Stitch, etc.
Or else it is created from Public Domain artwork & fonts, which means anyone can use it, or I have drawn the artwork myself, which I often do.
It is not worth the penalties and legal fees to steal artwork or copy Licenced designs, especially when so much artwork is available to buy so cheaply, why would anyone resort to stealing it?
I forgive you for your hasty assumption and would have appreciated it if you had contacted me directly before accusing me of stealing someone else's designs.

Cougar, your question sounded like this is what YOU wanted to do, not what you thought someone else was doing, that's why the answers read like this. It wasn't quite clear, sorry for the mixup.
To try and explain more fully, if you'd please see the post I made at this link, http://answers.cuteembroidery.com...
it should give you some idea about clipart, and why you can see a lot of the same designs on different sites.
The whole point of Designs by Cuties is that the designs are DIGITIZED by the Cuties. It can be from artwork they have drawn, or clipart they purchased or downloaded as a freebie. It can NOT be from Disney cartoons, Looney Tunes, NFL, or the countless other artwork that is only used by purchased license from the owner, i.e., Disney or the NFL. Purchasing a Disney coloring book does not 'license' you to use the coloring pages as artwork to digitize. (Thought I'd throw that in, just to be sure, because there's always somebody who doesn't know about copyrighted material, not necessarily you.) I wish you lots of luck in your learning to digitize. We have lots of talented people here who use Embird, Janome Digitizer Pro, 3D, 4D, and many other programs. (If you're Mary Moore, you use "all" of the above, hee hee hee, gotcha, Mary! A little tease to welcome you back). If you run into any problems you can't solve, perhaps we can help you. We'll look forward to seeing your work, and welcome to Cute!! Hugs, Marji

cougar64 You should get your answer from all the good information listed below. In particular go to marjialexa comment and click on the green circle area it is very clear there...Enjoy this site.

yes okay so the whole point of the designs by cuties is not that they actually made the design but bought a clipart and digitized it themselves...just needed too know how this works cause I am learning how to digitize and I don't want to step on any toes...nothing against megan... this was the font I had just searched for so the design was fresh in my mind....thank you sooo much for explaining this for me...and maybe helping others not to do this by mistake
oh i had also made the same mistake when i first started out no problem at all
NO, NO, NO!!! The only designs that can be put in "Designs by Cuties" is a design that you yourself have digitized! It is a copyright violation for you to post, e-mail, do anything at all with a design you have downloaded, whether free or paid for, other than sewing it out. Please READ the directions in "Designs by Cuties", and the Terms and Conditions of using this site at the bottom of the page. You should also read the terms and conditions of using every site you visit. If you want to share with others, tell them where to go to get it themselves. It is ALWAYS illegal to share designs, in any form, in any venue! Please keep yourself on the right side of the law, it really scares me to think what could happen to you and this site if you do not. Hugs, Marji
ok then why is someone putting the moonstar font that was one of the dfh freebies on as a designs by cuties...I don't believe the site that digitized this font then gave it out would want someone changing the color from yellow to blue and adding it as theirs...please look into this ...thx
You got your answer, from Mary, above. This is the same ART, different DIGITIZER. Also check out the link I posted about clipart, etc. hugs, M
