I agree with marjialexa, as hoopsisters has quiet a variety of quilts made in the hoop....I am finishing the compass star quilt in the hoop now....but have several others that I plan to do before too long....
I love the stitches that they created for this quilt and wish they were on my machine for regular use.... if you haven't tried one or seen one, many quilt shops offer these classes...or go to the hoopsisters site....
Have done this type of applique stitching before the embroidery machine. Will have to try it with shapes.
Lots of cute projects, also.

Paper piecing-easy to do with your regular sewing machine. Makes very accurate blocks.

Eva thanks a lot. This is done completely different from the way I use for crazy patchwork. *4U
This is a great way to quilt! Hoopsisters.com, also offers a lot of these ideas, as well as patterns, and you can make the whole quilt sandwich in your embroidery machine. Thanks, Eva!! Hugs, Marji
