She only had one yard down. I had 6 1/2 yards! i kept trying to tell her she wasn't charging me enough, but the more I tried the more flustered she became. So I cut a check and sent it to the main office explaining what happened. I am probably the only one that would ever do that.

Hubby was shocked that for once I came out of a fabric store not spending $100 or more. LOL

It always makes you feel good when you know you did what was right. My Dad always said "someone is always watching to see what you will do ". I think you did the best thing you could do. There are a few of us honest people around still. lol

If the store hadn't been packed and hubby sitting inpatiently in the truck, I'd have her call the manager. You could see poeple sitting back tapping thier toes waiting for me to get done.

Glad you found it. I wouldn't have left until I made the clerk understand. "What goes around, comes around". A few months ago at Best Buy, I found a gift card--the clerk looked at me like I was crazy--then she just put it aside--I bet she checked the amount on it and just kept it.

I am SO glad you found your fabric!!! You might well be one of the last people on earth to send extra money to the company, hee hee hee. The checkout person should have called the yard goods person to come and change it, but some of the people they hire do seem to get SO flustered when they have to do some 'thinking'. Sometimes, at some businesses, they are given bad reports if they take too much time checking people out, and a price check could have been more hassle than it was worth to her. It's unfortunate what the world has become, and how workers are treated sometimes. And I do know about the math part, with the young kids. I said "Wait, I have the penny" once to a kid, and he looked at me as if I had 2 heads! To him, there was no 'penny' involved, the price was $4.76, I gave him $5.01, and he was lost because he had already rung in the $5.00 bill. I sometimes wonder how these kids even graduate high school. Well, I'm glad you found the fabric, anyway. That was a good hunting expedition!! Hugs, Marji

I'm so glad you found the fabric to finish your project....Isn't the old saying "Seek and YE shall find"??? the clerk will probably get fired over it...It still is amazing they can't make change IF the cash register doesn't tell them how much to give???? What happened to good 'ol math???
