Just can't be too careful out there, guess that's why some of us keep on harping on not downloading every freebie you see. Do you know by any chance which site it might have come from? I know legitimate sites have been getting hijacked lately. I do SO wish these people would do something constructive with their time instead of writing these incredibly intricate but damaging programs. If all that brainpower were channeled into medicine or the space program, we'd have cured cancer and be living on Mars by now, grrr. Thanks, everyone, for the good anti-virus, spyware, etc. program advice. Hugs, Marji

Sophos, it is a business software, it is supposed to stop everything! I ran a virus scan and it did not detect anything. I found this because my sister's computer was hijacked so I was worried about mine. I downloaded anti spyware software to see if I had any of that on mine. The anti spyware program found it! So then I downloaded Avast antivirus to see if that program would find it and that did not detect anything either. I am baffled that I could have a trojan that was not caught by 2 antivirus programs.

yes i also got the kaspersky it is great it had a free trial so i downloaded it loved it and bought it A Trojan is a program that may appear to be legitimate, but in fact does something malicious. Trojans are often used to gain backdoor access - that is to say remote, surreptitious access, to a user's system. Trojans do not replicate as viruses do, nor make copies of themselves as worms do.
