My mom used to collect elephants many years ago and she put them with the backside to the front door for the good luck, at least that was what we had heard back then... But lbrow is certainly true, it doesn't matter, the important thing is if you like them... Flower and XoXo

I am with Jerrilyn on this one. I really don,t believe n luck. What ever happens I believe is all n God's plan. I do love elephants though & have friends that collect them. they look nice no matter where or how u put them. *

My little Mommy used to collect elephants when she was young, and all their trunks were raised for good luck. "Bringing luck in" sounds like a logical extension of that theory, so go for it! I bet the elephants are pretty, anyway, if you embroidered them. If they're statues, maybe you could embroider little elephant blankets for them, they'd bring more luck if they were happier...? Hee hee hee, thanks for sharing. At least whoever told you this doesn't think Goofy is a moose, anyway, do they? hugs, Marji

McGraw - I always heard - that the trunks should be lifted toward the door - whether inside the house or outside. Hehehe! *4U

The way I always understood it is the elephant's trunk needs to be raised and facing the door, this will bring good luck. I also like Jrob's answer though!
