right now he's asleep in MY recliner. But if he's awake he's hunting something to get into! As hubby's in Cinn. all day for a ball game, he turned all the couchs upside down so Jack can't push his ball under one and cry for you to get it out!! BUT he found he could push the ball behind the hutch and then cry! NOW I have that blocked! Hope no one comes to my house today, they'll think I've lost my mind! PLUS I forgot if you go out the back door when the house alarm is on, it goes off! Of course soon as I got up I went to take him out...sirens went off LOUD! Try to explain THAT to the alarm company! I had to laugh, however! Might as well laugh as cry! BUT I sure will be glad to see SAT. come!! And, no, the alarm is NOT on now!

We could have had 3 dogs! I babysit my grandson, and since they have a dog-he comes along--another son without kids just bought a home and are waiting for escrow to close "only for a couple of weeks", so we also have his dog--affectionatly known as our first grand puppy! We also have our own dog-- AKA BOSS! You should hear the commotion when FedEx or a meter-reader pulls up! It's total chaos. Gotta love em. :)

Oh, my, how glad I am I have kitties!! I have a beautiful Sheltie, but he's a big couch potato, no trouble at all. Bless everyone who has the patience to cope with these little high-energy dogs!! Hugs, Marji

Amen. Surely do unusual things for our kids! Yes, Jack is back home, my couch is back upright, and I have my recliner back. I DID have some luck with training him to walk better on the leash...note I said SOME! I left a message on son's phone he better bring home some more balls as Jack had popped the 2 he had! I think I could write a children's book on the adventures of Jack!

Hahahaha, sounds like he keeps you on your toes...the breed of dog that he is, is why he can't sit still, they are cute and crazy, I have 2 little dogs, they are the best company. Couldn't live without my little friends

You got it! I told son when he got him I couldn't think of a worse combination! BUT he is very entertaining! We've always had small house dogs. He thinks he's big, barks while INSIDE at other dogs; hubby was walking him, big dog came up to greet him and he almost jumped into hubby's arms! ;-)

great for a chuckle, Gerry. I just remembered why I can't have another dog yet.

I am constantly debating wether I want a dog or not. We always had animals and this is the first time in my life I have none. I would love to have something breathing in my house since it gets pretty lonely since my husband has passed away. However I also love the idea of being able to go anywhere or anytime without worrying wht to do with my animal. This story made me smile.

Just be sure you get one that's trained, or you'll willing to go to training with it. I THINK I'm going to tell my son if he doesn't get this dog some schooling, I'm not going to keep him! He'd probably fail obedience school! It's a good thing he's CUTE! Glad it made you smile!

Here, kitty, kitty, kitty...... I used to travel for the Episcopal Church when I worked in NYC, and my 2 cats were fine with a big big bowl of dry food, and the bathtub faucet dripping into a big big bowl of fresh water for a week. They were a little miffed when I got home, though. Wouldn't speak to me for an hour or so, hee hee hee. I did that often for 3-4 days at a time, no problems with them. Hugs, Marji
