I have bought some at Joann's, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Hancock Fabric - hope you share what you are doing with them - I love that foot and the many uses of it. *4U
Have you tried your Bernina Stores - I don't know where you live but here in SA some do keep 'Habby' and I have found some neat 'cords' there - different thickness! Also at some Quilting stores too! Hope you find what you are looking for!

Teri - good to see that you are still working with the machines, and away from the books for a while. I guess I need to know if you are wanting to make your own cording, or are doing decorative work. In a sit and sew at the Viking store a while back we did some with the cording foot. We used different items, and they are now selling metalic yarns that work nicely. Everything we used was picked up at Joann's I picked up a set of craft threads put out by DMC that worked nicely. This had the metallic siler and gold in it. These were also used when we did bobbin work. These threads do not separate, and makes it easier to work with. Good luck - want to see your project.
Have you ever restrung your blinds? Believe me this string is perfect for the smaller cording that you're wanting to do.
Have you tried Atlanta Thread Company? I got lots of notions from ATC. Either Hancock or Hobby Lobby or Joanne should have. Sometimes, I used yarns as decorative cords.
Hey Jrob .....My son is out of school summer, so I am busy just going to work and bring him to pool and VBS. If I see some, I will post again
