you will need:

2 packages of butterscotch chips
2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
3/4 cup to 1 cup peanut butter-- with or without nuts
1/2 to 3/4 cup walnuts (optional)
small marshmellows or rice crispies (I have done it both ways)
glass bowl and a glass cake pan (9x12)

In the cake pan spray with non sticking spray or lightly butter bottom...not too much...
spread small marshmellows or rice crispies to cover the bottom lightly....set aside...

in glass bowl (larger size) melt butterscotch chips and butter in microwave about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until almost completely melted..stir 1 to 2 times in between...remove and add peanut butter....stir until completely melted together....add walnuts (optional)...mixture will look pretty runny still,,,pour over ingredient in cake pan....cool in fridge until your treat has set up...you can place in freezer also...cut into 1 in squares and serve....this is an extremely sweet product and any bigger would be probably be too much to take in all at once....
when pouring it into the cake pan, the marshmellows or rice crispies will float to top or within...its ok pat it evenly.......
If you are making a real small amount, cut in half....
peanut butter, walnuts and marshmellows/rice crispies (just choose one )are really to taste..can be omitted or added per you
I have never done on stove top, but the principals will be the same in melting together...just be sure to stir more frequently

ENJOY...

Oh, my word, I just gained a pound reading the recipe!!! These sound wonderful, but if I got butterscotch chips I'd probably just eat them out of the bag, hee hee hee. Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Marji

Those sound great, I am going to make them next weekend when our kids and grandkids come for a barbeque. Thanks, Lynn
