Wow! This quilt is beautiful! You must have a lot of experience! It is just so beautiful! I would have given you a blue ribbon! *
Heather, your quilt is absolutely gorgeous! The embroidery work and ALL thos Points are perfect. Congradulations on a lovely quilt. You have my Blue Ribbon vote.
Thankyou,it is the fist time i have used a giga hoop,i have a lot of blocks left over,so i am making pillow slips.
Well good heavens, Heather, that quilt is gorgeous!! Glad you could get us the picture, see, it wasn't that hard. I'm so surprised you didn't place! I guess there's different ways of judging, and perhaps different standards apply in different locations. I'm from the Eastern part of the USA, and I think your colours are plenty bright, so well done. I have to have a giggle, because if your judges could see our Amish ladies' quilts they'd probably die. Black, brown, dark green, dark blue, the occasional snap of red. But they are of course all hand made, hand quilted, and go for hundreds and hundreds of dollars here. And the Amish for religious reasons do not believe in 'showy' colors in clothing or quilts or home furnishings. Shows the different preferences in other locations. I would have given you a lot of 'points' for putting the whole thing on point!! That's a harder technique than straight. The quilt is lovely, and you should be proud of it!! That's a whole lot of beautiful work. Brava, brava, brava! Here's your blue ribbon from me!! Hugs, Marji
Thankyou for your kind remarks,i won't be able to put my hat on for a week, hehe. It was a lot of fun sitting on roster making sure people did not touch the quilts with dirty hands,i know when i see somthing i like i reach out to touch, its so hard not to. I go to patchwork classes they are alot of fun. In the embroidery classes i find i get a little lost,i guess i do too much talking and cupa's Cute is a great place to learn the tricks i am grateful to the help that the cute family share.
What a great quilt and you did a beautiful job, just wonderfull.
It is so pretty toet. I hope u got a blue ribbon. It certainly deserves it. *
I was so pleased just to be able to enter the show,i would not have been able to do it without reading all the helpful hints from cute. I found it is better to walk away from the quilt when its not going well, and start back on it the next day*
Well done Heather, looks even better than the first time I saw it. Glad you now know how to do the uploading of pictures.
Love and blessings Chris
Thankyou, the pic is very blurry,i thought it was time to stop putting the uploading of picks in the too hard basket. I didn't get a place,i learn't alot about how they judge a quilt, next time i will use brighter fabrics.
sorry i will have another go
Goodness gracious me, that must have been a lot of work. It is beyond words to describe it - outstanding, gorgeous, fantastic etc. etc. *4U
