a slice of salami, a slice of turkey, a slice of ham, a piece of cheese...each piece was folded into 1/2 then1/2 again put on a tooth pick one on top of the other cheese was the last then I topped it off with a green olive....Pretty early service so it went ok.....The second service I had some of the meats left over, I also made BBQ sausages bite sized, plus I served chili-cheese nachos....Oh my goodness after the first few peopple got theres it was a no holding the crowd back...all in all the guys had a nice little snack and I appreciate everyone who gave me receipes and food for thought....I think though this will probably be my last time in that department....way too much for little ole me to try and concour...I did have the Lord's helping hand pull me through.....

145791I'm so glad everything went well in the "snack" department for you, Deanna. The way you wrote it up gave me a bit of a giggle, though. I remember how many people you had to serve, and you start out saying, "I took A slice of salami, A slice of turkey, etc." It just kind of reminded me of the loaves & fishes, hee hee hee, having 800 people to feed and you start with one slice of salami....well, I know he said "and even greater works than this will you do", but....hee hee hee. I'm glad all went well, and your recipes sound delicious. Next time tell them you'll head the committee, but not do it all yourself. Hugs, Marji

234507Glad it's over??? Next time they want something like that you will have to GET HELP!!! It will be a good way to try ALL the new recipes you got...just print them off and hand one to EACH person to make and bring...Variety is the spice of LIFE!!
